Seashells Seashells! (Not by the Seashore.)

R = Rebecca

R: Hello everyone!

Today I am showing off a fraction of my mother's Seashell Collection!

Sea them all? (Get the pun?)

Not much to SAY about each shell, but they are pretty to look at!

I adore that grey one! Maybe mama will put it in an easy access area so I can admire it!

This one is nice, but wait til you see the others!

Meh. I've seen better. (No offense mom! Or seashells!)

We are getting into the bigger shells!

This one, while seeming small, ways like HALF A POUND. Literally!

This is a piece of what we think is a huge Sand Dollar maybe?

AND THIS IS THE PRETTIEST ONE OF ALL! So gorgeous and orange and frilly!

This one is not as big as it looks. It was just the angle.

These two are large, and beautiful!

AND THIS IS THE BIGGEST ONE OF ALL! This huge shell mama found, along with all the others seen here, were collected on Dauphin Island off the coast of Alabama!

IT IS AS BIG AS MY HEAD!

Mama also had a smaller seashell with a hole in it, she made it into a necklace for me!

Pretty!

So now you have seen a small part of my mom's seashell collection, oh I love hearing about where she found some of these seashells. Dauphin Island (Which she went to back in May.) was apparently an amazing little island! You would drive down the road and either side you look at a few hundred yards away was the Gulf of Mexico! They took a REALLY long bridge to get to the island, and spent part of the day there swimming!

Well, goodbye, for now!

The Doll,

Remember that one non finished thing I posted about my vacation in Florida back in February? Here is the rest of it.

A = Astrid

A: What the title says. And, the first post that I did while I was on vacation. :3 LINK

This is the backyard of the house mama's Great Aunt and older cousin live in. (Sadly, due to Cancer, mama's Great Aunt won't be around much longer. :( ) But on with happy things!

More backyard.

EVEN MORE BACKYARD.

And the sandy front yard!

Photo shoot!

Looking out the window.

Still trapped inside!

Almost outside! (Mom adored this weird lighting.)

Finally! There was this red caboose thing on the porch, and it was perfect for me!

See!

PERFECT!

Ugh I look so girly. Thank you for nothing, you useless human.

Mom's cousin's dog Shiloh. Shiloh is a Siberian husky, so she is really protective and doesn't like other people very much. But she took a small liking to mom. Maybe because mom has some sort of thing with animals. I haven't figured out what it is, but she can get close to wildlife and it will just look at her. And pets are a breeze apparently. (Also, up in the corner you see a blurry image of Mom's cousin.)

THE NEXT DAY:

In the car! Again....

Looking out the window at the pretty views!

Scenery,

Scenery. (Doesn't this remind you of a ranch out west?)

IT LOOKED LIKE AFRICA DOWN THERE!

Again, so cool and different from where we live!

I feel like a giraffe should come parading out of the bushes.

WHY MUST I MISS ALL THIS SCENERY!

A random driveway.

Shrubbery, wait, no, yes? I think there was a swamp there. Because at both sides of the picture it looks like water behind the trees.

A palm tree. In the middle of a pasture. Which has sand in it.

Africa? Did we magically travel to Africa?

In the car still.

THE NEXT DAY: (I think?)

Now we are at Mama's Great Aunt and Uncle's rented Condo. (This great aunt and Uncle are on mom's dad's side, the house I was at before was family on mom's mom's side.) I love the theme of this spare room.

Out on the terrace!

AND LITERALLY AGAIN THE NEXT DAY:

This is the Presidential Suite we stayed at. Actually, mama and her family went to Disney World's Animal Kingdom before coming to the resort. I was in the car with a good view of Expedition Everest, (a ride in Animal Kingdom) towering back in the park over the trees. That mountain is huge!

This is mama's brother's bed, with his Tummy Stuffer, Croccy, relaxing. (AND LOOK AT THE VIEW OF DOWNTOWN DISNEY AT NIGHT! YOU CAN SEE IT OUT THE WINDOW!!!)

The next morning:

See the view of Downtown Disney off in the distance? We stayed on the thirteenth floor of Tower Six at the resort, so we had an AMAZING view and a GREAT time.

Chilling on the bed, watching TV.

Exploring time!

I was looking out a window.

Peaking out at the balcony.

I'm hungry, to the kitchen area!

This stool will make a nice ladder!

Up on the counter. (That is the living room there in front of me.)

GRAPES! YUM!

Sneaking on to mom's parent's bed. SO COMFY!

And chilling on the couch in the living room.

And here is a random photo of the two droids mama got in Hollywood Studios. She custom built them!

Sadly, all though this brought us closer to the end of the trip, this post still doesn't include many pictures of Florida and Disney World, (I did not go to Disney, fyi.) and this post ends three days before the vacation ended! So maybe if mama ever gets all the photos collected from different devices, she can she you guys the rest of the trip. But, this was nice. Being able to FINALLY show you the awesome stuff I did.

Goodbye for now,

The Doll,
